I disagree complely with any statement that a slidefire does anything to teach proper technique. With my REAL m16, and yes, I guess I am a bit of an elitist for saying that, I can put CONTROLLED two to three round bursts on the TARGET by controlling my TRIGGER, not having the rifle BOUNCING AROUND in a reciprocating stock assembly. To argue that a slidefire could in any way, shape, or form, build anything resembling proper shooting technique is laughable. None of my guns go "bang" when I push forward on the foregrip.
Do I look down on someone for wanting to have a little fun south of $20k? No. But to argue that they are remotely in the same category because they allow you to get some rounds off fast? Come on. I have seen the guys shooting them and they aren't hitting shit.
