I would appreciate a recommendation for a sling for a mid-heavy rifle, to be used for shooting and hunting. I have been looking at the Rifles Only bungee sling and the Armageddon PRS. The main feature for me is to be able to adjust the sling while in position, both for length and for the arm loop. I am debating between those two as the Rifles Only sling seems to have more features but also looks much heavier. The bungee portion is not so important as it seems to be usable only when the rifle is hanging in the front in patrol style.

The Armageddon looks lighter, but also the webbing looks thinner.

Thanks for your comments,

The Armageddon gear sling is much lighter than most tactical slings. The web material is lighter, but more than enough for a sling durability. I use it on my heavier rifles/AR15 and like it.

I also use the Mountain Shooter Sling which is a very simple loop sling that weighs about 4ozs. and allows you to sling up very fast for a positional shot. It's something to consider as well, but it doesn't adjust quite as fast as the Armageddon gear version. However it's lighter and simpler which I like for hunting.

I used the Armageddon sling all year hunting and it worked pretty good. The bungee really helps you lock in with shooting sticks. My 308 is 11 or 12 lbs and it carried pretty comfortable. I might add a pad to it but other than that I like it. It isn't my favorite way to carry a rifle long distances but it certainly isn't terrible.

Look at the Magpul MS1 sling, no arm cuff but the slider allows quick adjust and gives support. Easy carry(like a carbine) and quick into position. Plus, I use QD swivels, easy to move from one gun to another.
