Anyone have any suggestions on what I cand do to get my TAB sling to stay fastened to my A5 stock?

When I attach the sling to the rear flush cup, it wont go in fully. With any force the sling pops out. Any ideas???

In addition to seeing if there's anything in the cup did you see if the other flush cup swivel would go in? I had a similar problem with a set of swivels and it turns out it was a defective swivel.

Ok, so the front flush cup goes in and swivels just fine. The rear cup seems to be imbedded in the stock too far. When I attach the sling it won't go all the way in and looks to be hitting the base of the stock....i'll put a pic on so you all can see what I'm talking about....

It sounds like the problem might be with the stock and not the sling. If it is the actual flush cup on the sling, TAB GEAR will be more than happy to replace that flush cup for you.

I would bet its not the swivel on the sling. Tony uses same HD type Flush Cup swivels I do and some stocks where made with the cheesy light weight versions that have a very small mounting surface. The manufacture of the stock then set the swivel mounts a little too deep in the stock. This causes the bigger face of the HD swivels to not go in deep enough.

Solution just sand area between HD swivel and stock. You can do this with sand paper by hand or just use one of the round flat sanding disks of a dremel tool. Use the light weight sander not the cut off wheel. Just touch the surface and I bet it all works fine after you are done.

Beamer Girl, it's definitely not the sling....I'm gonna give it a try and file down the area around the stock and see if I can get the sling to go in all the way.....

I had the same problem with one put in by a SH GS "icon" It was set just a CH too deep in the stock. I scraped off just a smidge arounf the cup allowing the sling to set in completely. Done deal, works perfectly. Try scraping off just a bit of material around the cup and see if it fixes it...

MJB....I was a bit hesitant at first...however, I took a file to the area around the cup...
Sling goes in perfect now!

Thanks or all the thoughts and tips...
