Smack the SMILEY Spring 2010 - RESULTS BELOW!

Re: Smack the SMILEY Spring 2010 - ENTRY OPEN

Nothing like waiting until the last second. I got mine mailed off finally. Only way to cut it any closer would be to shoot it while at the post office, LOL. Didn't have time to do the centerfire. Had to shoot the rimfire while at work on a break, then run it to the post office at lunch.

Re: Smack the SMILEY Spring 2010 - ENTRY OPEN

Sorry z71, MichaelG beat you to the zero in RF class in summer 2007. But you could put:

Smack the Smiley - Rimfire worst target tie - 0pts

Below your current STS record in your signature

Re: Smack the SMILEY Spring 2010 - ENTRY OPEN

I actually shot one of my best this time. The storm was looming over my head while I was shooting. The wind hit a dead calm period and I was actually running to the target and back to get it done. Managed a nice 3 shot cloverleaf for the group and hit every circle (missed every smiley though) with the 17 HMR. I think I got the luck you were hoping for z71rat.

Re: Smack the SMILEY Spring 2010 - ENTRY OPEN

a rimfire and a centerfire on there way from Canada.
I sent them in the mail last week.. I hope they don't take too long getting down there.

Had a blast shooting them.

Thanks jb

True enough. I never realized that anyone had shot a ZERO. I never even thought about anyone doing that. At least until I did. The thing about it is, my boys outshot me like nobodies business. I am bearing enough of the shame from them showing me up... I think I will keep it OUT of my signature.

On the other hand, I think my boy Zach got somewhere in the 80-90 range. Pretty nice target, and his highest score so far I believe. I was happy for him.

Re: Smack the SMILEY Spring 2010 - ENTRY OPEN

bruce you did not do that bad considering the guns you were using. You should build a tack driver. It would probably do better then your grand-dad's grand-dad's hand-me-down. (-:

Congrats on the great turnout of your targets. The luck that I used to have kinda went away when I sold my Savage 10FPLE. Hopefully I can get my new Stevens to step up to the challenge. It seems to really like FGMM, but I don't have the funds to keep feeding it that kind of ammo.

Certainly not because I wanted too. Just needed the cash to cover my wife's medical bills. I didn't really consider selling the wife...

Re: Smack the SMILEY Spring 2010 - ENTRY OPEN

metalhead...will go do that.

Cantsee...yea, yours was in there. If I know the handle of whoever's address is on the envelope I put their name on the "received" list and don't usually open the envelope until I score them all.

Scoring...hope to have results posted before friday. Saturday at the latest depending on stragglers.

Good luck!

Congrats to all the winners!!

Re: Smack the SMILEY Spring 2010 - ENTRY OPEN

Thank you again, Jason. Was thinking yesterday, when the results hadn't been posted yet, about how much time it must take to score each target...X the number of targets sent back...and then appreciated more the work you put into this match.

As well, thanks again to the generous sponsors. Your continued support of a great cause doesn't go unrecognized.

Looking forward to the summer match!

Re: Smack the SMILEY Spring 2010 - ENTRY OPEN

Holy crap! I can't believe I won the manners certificate! I've been putting cash away for months to order one, now I can order it
smile.gif
Think I'll spend the leftover cash on a new DBM.

Once again your hard work is much appreciated JB. A big thanks to the sponsors for supporting our sport and this match. Congratulations to JCVIBBY and TUNA921, I'll beat you next time
