DEADLINES

I have added an entry POSTMARK DEADLINE so there is an actual cutoff so I don't have people sending entries with 5 days left. With the deadline where it is, someone entering at the deadline will still have a minimum of 2 weekends to shoot. This means your entry needs to be POSTMARKED by the date listed to be entered in the current match.

The target return deadline needs to be adhered to so I can get the results posted in a timely manner. This is also a POSTMARK DEADLINE

Prizes are given away as a raffle using the completed targets you send back. So there is no incentive to cheat, as the winner has no assurance of getting any prizes. If you send back a completed target in both RIMFIRE and CENTERFIRE class, you have 2 chances to win.</span>

Re: Smack the SMILEY Spring 2010 - ENTRY OPEN

I am doing my best to get my new rifle going. Hopefully I will be able to shoot this match with it, or at the very least get Vince to shoot this match and let me use the 10FPLE that he bought from me. We will see how it all comes down...

Re: Smack the SMILEY Spring 2010 - ENTRY OPEN

Just received my new LUCAS BORE GUIDE! It rocks! Much nicer than the dewey I've been using.
I was a winner in the "snowflake".
Thanks again to Mr. Lucas and JB. I am hooked and looking forward to another set of targets.
The raffle is a great idea for those of us that are precision impaired plinkers.

Re: Smack the SMILEY Spring 2010 - ENTRY OPEN

Scott,

Good to hear...they are my favorite as well.

All are packed and ready to go. Those that will ship tomorrow are those that are received to date and are listed on the homepage (in my sig line)

Good luck!

Re: Smack the SMILEY Spring 2010 - ENTRY OPEN

Received Entries Updated...seems to be a lull...only a couple entries over the last several days. Spring is always the biggest match. Seems prize odds may be a little better this spring that last

Re: Smack the SMILEY Spring 2010 - ENTRY OPEN

I was thinking about trying my hand with my new rifle this time around, but I will probably use the 10FPLE that I sold to Vince. He will be shooting with us again, so maybe I can talk him into loaning it for 10 rounds!!

Me too when's that one start?!

Re: Smack the SMILEY Spring 2010 - ENTRY OPEN

Well, we went out today and finally got to shoot the centerfire targets. My wife wasn't feeling very good and elected to sit it out. However, when my boy Jake heard Mom wasn't shooting, he asked if he could shoot her target.

Mom said sure, if you think you are up to it. Jake said he believed he was ready, so we gave him a try at it. This was the first time he had ever shot anything other than his .22lr Mossberg. He ended up beating all of us when he took out the Smiley on his first shot!! WOW!!

And to top that off, he then beat Vince for the 3-shot group!! His group is around .75MOA. All I could do was throw out the big'ol smile and say "That's my boy right there!!" Not too bad at all for a 10 year old!!

Oh yeah... take a guess what he wants for his birthday!! LOL!!

Jake's pointing out that he beat the pants off of us on the CBS.

Re: Smack the SMILEY Spring 2010 - ENTRY OPEN

Two of my friends, my wife and I have all sent in our targets. Not all of them are pretty but man was it fun. Two of them were stealing my gun to shoot their targets. And one of them beat me. LOL its time he uses grandpa's old hand me down. HEHE. Thanks again Jason. Good luck everyone.

Re: Smack the SMILEY Spring 2010 - ENTRY OPEN

LOL... well, let's see what you think about this little story. I am pretty sure that I am the ONLY person to EVER shoot a big fat "ZERO" in the rimfire class.

When I finally got my turn, the gun was plenty plenty dirty, shooting various mixed rounds from out of the bottom of the ammo can, and the wind had picked up to a wonderful 17mph by my meter. I dare ANYONE to beat it!! It made me sick, but I had to laugh about it. So there you have it, that is my story and I am stickin to it!!

DK

p.s.- JB, it would seem that I have LAST place firmly wrapped up!! I should get a special prize for that one!!
