This is a postal match, where you shoot the targets I send you on your home range, then send them in to be scored.

Participating in this match also helps raise money for AmericanSnipers.org. In three years of contributing part of the entry fee to AmericanSnipers.org, we have raised nearly $5000 which has been used to buy gear for our soldiers in harm’s way!

DEADLINES

I have added an entry POSTMARK DEADLINE so there is an actual cutoff so I don't have people sending entries with 5 days left. With the deadline where it is, someone entering at the deadline will still have a minimum of 2 weekends to shoot. This means your entry needs to be POSTMARKED by the date listed to be entered in the current match.
The target return deadline needs to be adhered to so I can get the results up in a timely manner. This is also a POSTMARK DEADLINE

PRIZES

Prizes are donated by generous and willing vendors, so please don't forget them when you need to buy some gear. Prizes are given away as a raffle using the completed targets you send back. So there is no incentive to cheat, as the winner has no assurance of getting any prizes. If you send back a completed target in both RIMFIRE and CENTERFIRE class, you have 2 chances to win.

Throw that 6BR & the McA5 to prone... and let's give it a go. I have exactly 40 rounds left of the Ultramax lot number to run!!

I got my Warne Splits in the mail yesterday, and got them mounted this afternoon. They are far superior to the Leupold's that the Savage was sportin before... so we will see what happens this time around. If the Ultramax's don't hold up to well, I got a buddy that is cookin up some rounds for me to give a go... so we will definately see how things shape up!!

I've got the same problem here in ABQ, DK. Targets are laying on bench with freshly loaded ammo and chrono; skies are gray. My son seems excited to participate, but says he wants to shoot my 260 instead of his 22.

Well, I don't see any gray skies yet, and the clouds are not gettin much of a chance to stay around with 20-25mph winds... sheeez. Too bad I don't have a wind turbine here.

I am still hopin that we get to burn some powder this weekend all the same. If nothin else, I will just throw some .22's at the plates @ 200yards...

yeah the weather sucks ass around here, glad i ordered 4 targets. First one sky didnt look promising but i got out with the intent of shooting before the monsoon, my calculations were incorrect, rain reduced the target to pulp. Second target i blew out my ass, now only two more left hope it goes a little better this time

man the rain has destroyed all 4 of my targets each time i go out to shoot. Its sunny starting then in the blink of an eye it pours, my first one was the best but got turned to pulp along with the other 3 that i got. So as much as i wish i could send one in, i cant i dont have them anymore. Oh well i guess ill wait till the fall

Glad I'm not the only one who blows targets.
I set up and shot the RF target with my contender and wasn't too unhappy with the results.
Then I went for the CF with my 260. A little hot breeze had come up and I didn't allow for it and fired CBS too far right. I clicked in 3 clicks windage and fired the big ring in the money. Then I did the 3 shot group to make sure I knew where POI was: HOLY MOLY! I measured .165" ctc in the diamond. I figured I was home free. Then the mirage started shifting and I proceeded to to blow all remained target rings save one, which I then gave away by missing the confidence shot!
I tried my second CF yesterday in the midday heat and the mirage was really bad; the target was worse. I really need some instruction about what to do with mirage. I'm all ears if anybody's offering. I'm a newbie to this precision rifle stuff.

I'll send in the first target today. Pretty sad, but I guess that's where I am right now.

Regarding rain and targets.....
someone earlier said that they use the clear sheet protectors to hold the targets and thwart the weather.

Seems like a grand idea, for soggy shooting.

Well, y'all certainly don't have to worry about a repeat of the Spring. Sheeeeez. I still got right at .5" on the 3-shot group, but there are some unspeakables on there too.

So I will step aside for the next challenger to take the lead. All from the same lot of ammo too. I got 2 completely totally and completely embarassing misses, and 2 rounds that I couldn't even close the bolt on... hmmm, go figure.

targets inbound. had to send two CFs back, to close to call. blew the damn RF by rushing to finish before the range closed. missed the 25 and blew the 30 with the CS. cursed all the way home as they were my last two shots and the rest were on track for a 240+ score. 85 points down the drain, i'm still bitter
