Just put together a new gas gun and wondering if anyone uses a small base sizing die for the 6.5. I don't use one for my bolt gun but wont load 556 with out in my ARs. Thanks for the help.

Possible you'll need a small base for 6.5 Creed AR but probability is low. 223 AR, almost never "need" a small base unless ammo shot from an oversized chamber. Brass fired from my AR going back into same chamber I've always been able to use a standard FL sizer. Mixing brass between multiple AR chambers, might need a small base for it to be 100% reliable fit in every chamber.
I've never used a small base die any any of my 223 308 or 6.5 AR's..... most people that are having issues typically don't bump their headspace enough or have no clue how much they are bumping....
I know a major die maker and he advises me there is no such thing as a small base die!
I've measured cases run through both FL and small base dies and never could find a difference in the case sizes. He told me that's because there is no difference in the die body size. It's a different part of the die that's different.
He asked me not to say what the difference is. But not hard to figure out for a experienced reloader.
