I slapped together a phone scope thing out of some plumbing parts and the belt clip for my otterbox defender phone case. Shooting with it is not very practical at all, but it's perfect for spotting.

That thing is so ugly, it could be considered a modern art masterpiece. But it's 100% function and awesome!

That's smart.

Tried using a black and white filter on the phone and combine it with a IR flashlight?
I'm thinking it should be able to work as a cheap night vision, as far as the flashlight allows.
