Got my new ar 10 today and decided to check the trigger pull. Like most things I over thought it and decided to use some snap caps. The ones I have must be POS because now the paint has peeled off them and there is some on the extractor etc.. What's the best way to clean it out or should I just do a normal cleaning and go shoot the damn thing?

Paint or anadizong? Were they aluminum? If anadizing then clean, if paint, not a problem.
Doesn't say on Carlsons website what coating is on them. They are aluminum. May be safe just to give it a clean. Only cycled the BCG like 8 times. I won't be using these again.

They are. Your observation is impeccable! Get off the wallet and desist using those Carlson's wanne-be's in your gun art.

Just the first draw of A-Zoom's in my inventory; never experienced any such flaking with their anodized coatings in thousands of use.
