does anyone use any type of floatation devices on their expensive rifles when using from a boat when on "amphibious" operations? was wondering if there are any cool guy tactical tricks to this or just duck tape a life jacket to the stik to keep it out the drink?

I use life jackets and fastex buckles to secure the rifles to the boat itself. In the event the boat capsizes the rifles are secured to it and just need to be retrieved...you know it would suck if you flipped a boat and you catch a glimpse of +$2k wood and steel sinking into the darkness. A life jacket will keep your rifle buoyant enough not to lose it too, but don't use up your last life jacket on a rifle if a passenger doesn't have one.
