Hi guys,

I am asking you for your help on this matter. I am putting togetehr a sniper/precision rifle course for when i get home. I am currently deployed, and am here with a good group of guys, and we have racked up some good real world experience, and would like to pass it on. One of my guys was an instructor at the schoolhouse already for 2 years prior to coming out here. Anyways, what i am asking for help in, is locating a 1000m range in the south Florida area, where i can conduct the shooting portions of the course. If field craft can be done there too, its a plus but not a must. the only range i have found is TFA's in Clewston, and they obviously do not rent to other trainers as it is an in house asset. Hope someone can point me in the right direction, thanks.

Sandman,
Thanks for your service. However, unless you can get a group of wealthy investors together there is no 1K yard or meter range in south Florida. As you know, Henry's; Pop's, Trail Glades, and Markham all max out at 100 yards. I drive up to manatee when I want to shoot past 100. It's 3.5 hours for me.
There is a ton of land in the everglades, yes but most of it is underwater and not accessible except for airboat. Heck, even Seminloe PD does not even have a real rifle range out on their reservation. They have a crap load of land. PBSO has 300 yards and their range is AWESOME. If you pitch it right you may be able to teach there. Throw their guys spots.
Best of luck. If I can help you when you get back home. Let me know.
Jack
