That's $80 billion - seems like a lot of money! But the federal deficit was something like $3.1 trillion in fiscal year 2020. So that would pay for only 2.5% of the past year's deficit. So maybe it's not so much money. (Plus, they won't try to add every firearm to the NFA registry, and even if they did, they probably wouldn't get more than perhaps 25% compliance.)
I know how it is, man... Staying logged online and getting constantly bombarded by a deluge of negative shit coming from the MSM and elsewhere can really take a toll on the nerves. Even with the windows down and plenty of fresh air ensured, along with reasonable amount of rest before the trip, the prolonged stretches of highway at night still fucked with my head a little bit. Made me see shit that wasn't there on the road. It did not really bother me but I can see how it can fuck with somebody who is not expecting this and that is why there is a high number of single vehicle accidents involving trucks on any given night anywhere. Something might flash before you, you think it is a piece of debris in the road but it really was just your mind trying to adjust to the monotony of the highway... But you swerve or slam the brakes too hard, forgetting for a second that you are hauling liquid cargo in a tanker and BOOM, shit gets really interesting from then on.
I STRONGLY recommend logging off for just a little bit when you are starting to feel frazzled. Take a walk, clean a gun, prepare some food with a family member, something, to reset and refresh your senses. Doing a long haul on the Internet is no different than doing a long haul in a truck on a dark stretch of interstate for hours. A bit of a break here and there is needed so we can refocus on why we are here and what we are doing here in the first place.
The firearms are just one part of the equation.. Remember, each magazine capable of holding more than 10 rounds will also have to be registered and stamped to remain legal.. Thats $80 billion in firearms and probably 100 times that in magazines, and thats probably still a low estimation.
As I understand it, they want a $200 stamp for EACH mag you own that holds more than 10 rounds. I know folks who would go bankrupt paying $200 for every mag.

I find it illegal as this has always been, but as in 1986 NFA machine gun registration, 1994 Assault weapons ban...and coming to you in the near future 2021 assault weapons NFA list. To eliminate the “financial burden” they will give you a 90 day period to register and not pay the $200 tax. Same they did in ‘86 to register all those machine guns that we own or drool about. It’s the same easy af process as owning a suppressor, wait is long. None of the past marched, rioted or stormed the White House. While you’ll have a few that refuse to register their firearms, they basically just turned them into the equivalent of junk, cocaine and contraband. Can’t use at your gun range, can’t go hunting, it’ll be the same as that illegal machine gun you have or the homemade silencer you have in your sock drawer...worthless. Sure its unconstitutional but so has the whole NFA system yet we still buy, sell & deal with it everyday, why. cause we’re law abiding citizens. Everyone knows that outside of a revolution -- and even then it's a low probability chance of success -- we will not organize and win through violence. As encouraged in earlier posts, contact your congressman. If you have the financial means, fight the battle through the courts. I don't know how it's going to play out in the courts. It's not looking great, but the real fight is just getting started. Only SCOTUS can close the door on the election results. I still trust the process, even though I agree that the inclusion of corporate finance has led to corruption in politics. I do still believe in the judicial branch. I'm happy that we have a strong conservative SCOTUS.
I am optimistic though that we will sort through the use and improper uses of technology in our election process. I also expect this will lead to appropriate transparency and reform in fraudulent voting districts for future elections. Mail-in voting is too ripe with opportunity for fraud. Electronic counting is too ripe for fraud. Only independent human counting validated by separate independent counters with no knowledge of the first count until the same result is achieved is acceptable.

This is private property. Do you suspect a crime has been committed? Conduct your investigation, make any arrests, and leave IMMEDIATELY. That shit makes me so mad. I don't care if you are a health inspector trying to enforce code, either. Go ahead and shut the business down if you can, but when I say get off of my property, you don't have a choice other than to leave or break the law that you're supposed to enforce. If you weren't a LEO, I'd escalate to violence if necessary and call the police. But you are a LEO, so what can I do that doesn't result in a worse outcome for all of the good guys?
