I don't recall any ass-whuppin', but I've had the misfortune to see grown men fling themselves down onto the pitch and throw tantrums just for the cameras. Not because they missed a goal or the other team scored, it's just they've looked at their watches like "What time is it? Fifteen minutes into the game? Tantrum time!" I've wondered if they just started playing soccer at 6 and never grew up on the field.
