That's right I was like wtf, you silly sum bitch! (At first) So he's an iron worker and I'm a machinist so I thought this can't be that tough and if he wants to do it I will let him cut on my very expensive parts, and if he has any questions maybe I can help with my background. So he bought a lathe and all the tooling and misc. parts he needed. I made an action trueing jig and a couple other littlie things to get started. I will have to say the project turned out incredible! He trued action did all barrel cutting and bedded stock. The project is a. 223 mainly for target shooting and a littlie varmint hunting, it's a rem 700, kreiger mtu 8 twist, finished at 16.5 suppressor ready! And let me tell u I have done a lot of shooting and this thing is gonna be one consistent rifle! Just thought I would share a very nice high precision rifle made in a garage, and special thanks to my buddy for building a "hammer"!!
The target is a 6 x 5 (cause we don't believe in 3 shot groups) prone w front and rear bag at 100 yds, first 30 rounds out of gun with no barrel break in, and virgin lapua brass, .426 average!!!!
