Lots of circuit court appointments are being held up by Dems too.
Trump needs to step on the gas and putting bodies in the slots.
It's actually a homestead exemption tax savings.

Not Mike, but in Florida if you live in your house you get to have it taxed at a lower value because you live there.

Was talking to my boss last night, and the conversation turned to politics. He stated that "Trump is a fascist". I told him that I have heard that word thrown around quite a bit lately, and asked him for the definition of a "fascist". There was a pregnant pause and he said "Trump". Scares the shit out of me that people as drinking the kool-aid and don't have a clue about shit.
I always vote.
Sometimes I piss and sometimes I moan. But I don't moan when I piss and I don't piss when I moan. It's never pretend though. It's real piss and real moans.
This is because TOO MANY people are letting others do their thinking for them. What's worse is that those people aren't intelligent enough to realize this on their own.

So I had a whole day of windshield time to game this through today.... and even before I started listening to the pundits, I had arrived at a number of the same conclusions they did. And I ended my day in a very, very happy place.
First, we picked up 3, almost certainly 4 and maybe as many as 6 Senate seats. That A. Makes the Senate ironclad for judicial appointments and for the things Trump wants to get done. It ALSO relegates the idiots like Collins of Maine to irrelevant status because they can't any longer be the 'tipper' of a vote and blackmail or pull RINO crap. In addition, I am willing to bet that Joe Mansion (sp??) changes parties. IMHO, he had a deal from Trump... You vote for Kavanaugh and I won't campaign against you. And if the election goes my way... you come on over and once you are on the winning side... you'll have the keys to the Kingdom. In 80 year... since Roosevelt... a new President has only flipped 8 senate seats... total. Not at once. 8. Over 80 years. Trump has done at least three... the Florida recount is a joke... so definitely 4. Maybe 2 more.
Second... The 'blue wave' only amounted to something like 23 seats? Big deal. Obama lost 60. Bush lost 50. In addition, the Blue Wave has been likened to a "Red Receding Tide" because so many safe Republicans retired and opened up seats. In addition, a lot of those who lost were either RINO's or had opposed Trump. This was the Night of the Long Knives for the RINO's. They were destroyed in elections. In two more years, those Dem Freshmen (who ran opposing liberal agenda and Pelosi) if they lied or don't deliver on their promises to work with the Trump Agenda are dead meat.
Third... In the next few weeks, the gloves are going to come off in the house committees... the safe's will be opened and the documents are going to fly out. If you listened to Trump's warning in his press conference about investigating... (We have the Senate and we are better at this???)... well that may confirm something I've suspected for a while, which is that they have the total goods on Adam Schiff for leaking, lying, pulling some really bad stuff as minority member of the Intel community. Enough to keep him out of the chairmanship, maybe enough to put him out of Congress. Where are the FISA documents (that will show what Schiff did?)... waiting until after he is re-elected. Because at that point, if they can boot him, it's a special election. And a chance to snap up his seat. Maybe... but that warning was real.
Fourth... Trump now can point at the House and say, without reservation, that they are blocking the agenda. Nancy Pelosi now has to perform! Not block. Not investigate. Not sabotage. And that bitch won't be able to help herself. We are about to see a retard-fest of epic proportions... all out to out-crazy each other for the next 2 years. The dems can't run just against Trump now. They have to run on what they are accomplishing.
Fifth... Except for the idiot commie Cortez... the Progressives got thumped. The winning dems were moderate and all said they would "Work to support the President." I think they are lying. But they can now prove themselves. EVERYONE that Obama campaigned for... lost. Everyone.
Sixth... Clarence Thomas will reitere this session...Trump will get another judge. I hope RBG 'farcs out and he gets another one... because there is no holding up appointments now. Also cabinet appointments. I bet we see that Sessions is gone any time now... and we get a real AG in.
Last... Pelosi has a very small margin in the House. And can't get jack or s^%+ done without Republicans... and will NEVER get anything through a cast-iron-plate Senate... unless Trump and Republicans approve. Trump won't have to Veto things... the Senate will simply destroy the Crazy. There is no giant mandate in the House. Pelosi has a nice little margin... gets her gavel again. And can either play ball, or unleash the crazies. If she does the latter... 2020 will be a cakewalk...
Anyway, I heard some of those same things being echoed by the pundits today. The Dems are all crying crocodile tears, BTW, and the Republicans are celebrating. So... I am glad I had 10 hours of windshield time today to put this in perspective. We don't have nearly as much to worry about as we might have... and Trump's candidates cleaned up. That bodes well for the next cycle!

But if you look at the map of the USA... and how 'red' it is. The electorate are decidedly smart, understanding of what the Constitution is... and what their role is to defend it.

The sole reason the mandatory recount exists is because of Algore and his forced recount when he was trying to follow Billy boy into that round office.
