So what are your post election thoughts, observations?

When you get to the range Monday its going to be Blue hairs and rainbow flag wavers training for the resistance. Their key policy was killing babies now their focus is Trump supporters. Keep your head on a swivel, stay vigilant.

Nah, not my range. If you’re not trained up, you don’t get in.

Agree with watching six, though.

With US territorial expansion, I would like to see Panama added back into our fold too.

Make the Panamanians an offer they can’t refuse, boot the stinking Chicoms out of the locks management permanently, and tariff every ship passing through there, even if they aren’t headed for US ports.

That betrayal from Jimmy Carter with the Panama Canal was really a signal to other world powers that the US is weak and can be exploited.

We built it. Many American lives were lost during the construction of the Canal Zone. We should own it, manage it, and make people pay their fair share for its use to recoup our huge investment.

We can go back to permanent basing of US Rapid Deployment and Canal Zone forces there.

Would also be a great place to hold illegal immigrants (all of of them) while figuring out court/deportation etc etc etc.

For the illegals, we could just make tariffs correlate with countries that dumped their unwanted people on us, especially Venezuela and all the others who purged their prisons upon the geriatric pedophile’s and cackling grifter lady’s signal.

“How many did you send? It’s gonna cost you."

We need to incorporate our costs on LE, BP, and murders/rapes/property theft/damage/transportation in the US, as well as the pilfering of FEMA funds used for illegals’ gift cards and other expenses.

Let them scramble to absorb their people back and set an example for other countries who were used as intermediaries.

Mexico is our biggest trade partner right now, followed by Canada.

What's the vintage of that map? I thought we gave Fort Sherman back to the Panamanian government sometime in the late 90's.

Yup. 1999 was the date of execution of the surrender of Panama agreed to by Carter. Chinese came in afterwards to manage the locks. That was one of the biggest strategic throwaways of any US President.

We went to Fort Sherman for JOTC doing OPFOR for 2-75 in 1997, which was a blast. Those instructors down at Fort Sherman were getting over something crazy. They had new little beach villas, BBQs, wore UDT shorts and T-shirts all the time, so laid back. That place was better than a vacation.

I found a pic of us there when we were doing OPFOR:

1-24INFScouts1997Panama_0001_zpsc8b25f7b.jpg

That’s one of the coves on the east shore on Fort Sherman training area, which was huge. This view is facing about due East. We were playing drug runners with little hubs on the coast and in the jungle, and the hooahs from 2-75 would come raid us at night, and we would hit them during movement by day. I would never want to fight them for real.

Almost every other unit I did OPFOR against showed how weak and vulnerable they were. Ranger Batt doesn’t eff around. Dudes are like ants who will attack you relentlessly until their boot is literally on your head or face, even if they have to bust through black palm trees and razor grass uphill in the mud.

And California is still counting... nearly a week later and they are only around 70% through. Oregon is at 87% and Washington state is at 91%, New York is at 97%.

ALL states that require State issued photo ID in person are at 99%.

The trends are interesting.

All percentages above are from the Associated Press as of Nov 11th 2024

Also on the Panama Canal, we should have never given up control, that was stupid.

More proof that James Earl Carter was LOUSY!!!!!!! I know there are some people that think he was at the right place at the wrong time; but he was, and will always be one of the worst presidents the USA had in my opinion; though he's fallen down three times this century in the list of "bad." Heck, he's dropped out of my top 5 of the 20th/21st century worst now. Such is how low our standards have become.

It is extremely rare for a US President not to get reelected. This is how the Nation felt about Carter in 1980:

My thoughts...swamp isn't going to go down the drain much. They're already putting the swampiest swampers in Senate Majority leadership position - provided the initial polling stands correct. My thought is, and especially with Mitch's B, princess katie britt, needs a recall vote NOW and punted and replaced with a true conservative not owned by Mitch/Chamber of Commerce. Tom Cotton...owned by MIC and others. His liberty rating is awful for a supposed "convervative" - I think he's a neo-neocon. All these people supporting Mitch on his way out and keeping swamp alive need recall votes. EVERY SINGLE ONE. All it would take is one or two recalls and the GOP would fall in line. They are there own worst enemy.

In my predominently conservative town it has been a reserved dignified calm. Everyone at my HEB store seems happier, friendlier, everythings a light hearted joke, controlled relief and jubilation.

Some guy in a brodozer in front of me at the diesel pumps (I too drive a brodozer) had a giant Trump flag in the bed of his truck. I nodded in approval. He nodded back. We had each other's back.

Monday I go to the range.
I haven't gotten a single spam text in the post election world.

I'm just glad it's over, and pleased that Harris conceded and there will be a peaceful transition of power. We need one election cycle "off" from the Stop-The-Steal craziness that we've been through related to the 2020 election. Maybe actually winning, will calm Trump down and focus him on "governing" instead of "whining".

listen, there is some serious stuff that needs to be addressed. about 15 MILLION democrat voters died since they voted in 2020. i cant believe you dont want to know what happened to those poor souls.!?!?

Hey Tex, same here in Belton. Most of Bell Co. is pretty conservative in large part because of all the former and current .mil population. There is one house a couple blocks down from me that still has their Veteran for Harris/Walz signs still up as of this morning.
As has been said, the hard work starts now. It's going to be very interesting watching how the deportation effort unfolds. You can bet the MSM will be showing non-stop video of crying kids and mothers, etc. and not covering any of the bad dude gang members getting cuffed and stuffed.

not to mention having the shah of iran release all the shiite extremists that took over iran shortly after.

yes. i have always blamed carter for subsequent,on going disaster that is the middle east. the hostage taking should have been dealt with by arc light after giving khomeini 24 hr to release them. russians would have done nothing. could have made some territory trades with them even.

I have to admit, I didn't miss corpulent Lupe' walking right in front of my basket at the store without making eye contact or pushing a basket filled to the top with wrapped beef and Budweiser with more bags hanging off the side like sand bags on a hot air balloon and five kids in tow to a new SUV parked in a handicap spot.

Paying with a SNAP card.

I was in my local HEB Sat. and it was packed, with Americans, aka white people.

Before, there was close to a 50/50 ratio of white / 'immigrants' with Lupe bringing the whole family to clog the isles.

I'm hoping all those pretty new SUVs "they" got will hit the used car market in relatively good condition. Then again most of them will probably end up South of the border.

There was a time, maybe not in my time but definately my WWII parents generation, that either one of those actions would have gotten Biden brought up charges of Treason.

He probably would have faced a firing squad and deservedly so.

Remember next time a 'celebrity' tells you that someone is an existential threat to 'Our Democracy™'. Oprah was so concerned, she only charged $1 million instead of 2mio$ to be Kamala's friend.

I've said it before here, but I was only about 10 years old when he did that, and when I heard about it my immediate reaction was, "He's an IDIOT!" Only a fool would give away something that is so strategically important to us, and that WE built. (We had already learned in school about how it was built, who built it, how difficult it was, and the many sacrifices in lives it cost). Even a 10 year-old could see it.
(We had learned about the Canal in 4th grade Alabama History, because Dr. William Gorgas, an Alabama native, was instrumental in developing the measures to combat Yellow Fever, which was decimating the attempts to build the canal. Controlling Yellow Fever was one of the biggest obstacles to building the canal).

Is it just me or are others anticipating some sort of shenanigans with the House? I have heard that the Decision Desk has called the House of the GOP with 219 seats with about a dozen other undecided races yet. Faux News saying that the GOP is still 4 seats short of a majority. Anyone else think that evil is working overtime to steal the House for the left?

Both can be true at the same time. You can bet Evil is working overtime. It never sleeps.
