Went to a local shop and found that LRMP's were going for about $10/100, about 2 1/2 times the price I was paying before (2 months ago). Curious as to what others are seeing for prices and I realize this is due to supply and demand. I also see how ridiculous it has gotten on GB. Is this now the going rate at the local retail level when they can be found?

My local store gets them in periodically and hasn't raised prices. I wouldnt pay the so called going rate.

About 3 weeks ago LGS was selling SRP for $89 two weeks ago they were $150 and a few days ago they were $180.
Seeing a lot more on GunBroker with the prices dropping slightly ... but only from "Extortion" down to "Ridiculous". I stocked up there when I had to. It was painful, but "Zero" in LGS' in my area.
The last ones I saw on the shelf were FGMM small pistol primers for 45.99 iirc.
My personal max limit is $8 per 100 for match rifle primers if I can find them, and that is feeding the beast more than I want too.

What I would like to understand is the trade value trend I’ve been seeing... what’s with trading 2x large primers for 1x small ones? Is this a thing or have I just been seeing people testing the market?
Whenever I see them at Scheels, they're still the same price as always. No gouging there, which is why I continue to shop there for most things reloading.
Edit: They also price match any store/website. I've price matched Berger bullets from Whidden Gunworks, etc.

got 5k srp at midwayusa yesterday, $250 shipped so $50/k.
My LGS had federal srp for $79/1k. I got the last two boxes. Pretty much double the normal price, but at least they had some.
Just stopped at my local place this morning. He said he had primers confirmed on his next shipment. I asked about price and limits.
$33-$36/K. His preference on quantity was 500 as to spread it around. Not the most personable guy as far as small talk, but not gouging like alot are.
There are respectable businesses and then there are opportunists. I know which one I support.
Anyone else finding powder in the last 3 weeks priced like this?

You might want to try reading my initial post. If you did, ya might see that I mentioned s and d, and who said I bought them at that price?
I am of the opinion that gouging is nothing more than the economic version of prizes for everyone....just another way to make life "fair." In the truest form of "fair," two consenting adults should be able to charge and pay whatever the hell they want. That's fair.
This belief is even more staunchly held when it comes to luxury items, like ammo, primers, etc...it's not a necessity to life, and no one mandates your purchases. It's not water, or electricity.
In my opinion gouging is charging more than everyone else strictly for convenience. Like charging $5 for a bottle of water because you're on a beach or desert. The high price is supposedly for the convenience of not having to go elsewhere to pay $2 for the same bottle of water.
What we're experiencing with shooting supplies is supply and demand. Kinda like the Hellcat or GT350 Mustang. Since there's only a few of them on the market, the dealer can increase the price above the MSRP.
Shooting is just a hobby. Price gouging is taking advantage of people in need. No one, I repeat, no one needs this stuff. If you want it, and you are willing to pay the price. Good for you, I will not criticize either party in the transaction.

you thought wrong. i've gotten a couple of 5k's from them, using discord and distill. as a matter of fact you can look on their friggin website and see they offer 5k packages, so you don't need to assume otherwise or cast doubt on the veracity of my communication.

It’s not logic, just the definition of the term. It’s subjective according to the community I suppose.
If that was the case, it wouldn’t be in question by tons of people..... but I get your point. It just doesn’t make sense to make the claim that a “fair price” is not real, unless all companies had similar prices universally. The problem is that some companies aren’t raising prices, while others are raising them by several factors. That seems to fit the definition.
$280 for 2000 CCI 250's off of GB recently. A year from now when there's still no primers, they'll be more than that and I'll still be out shooting...
150 per thousand is the price I've been getting them at not the best nor the worst out there , but it has been pretty constant that they have had them the store will not ship nor take phone orders its a first come first serve . So far i've only ever seen federal 210 lrp none of the match or the magnum and none of the cci br2's have I seen I am always a bit too late to snag any of them up . Good bad or indifferent either you pay what the store is charging or do without till you find it cheaper don't think anyone likes over paying , but what other options are there when you get it when you see it or do without or in this case make your own if you can .

Interesting. Well you are right. But I stopped ordering from them years ago. Not only are they overpriced but their shipping is horrible. Lousy packing with no packing materials. God forbid you order bullets. Broken boxes. Bullets everywhere except in the original boxes.edit: check their website, expert.
