Need some recommendations on a decent budget friendly soft case. Not looking to spend 100's of dollar, but would like something decent.

I have bought two off of amazon that work perfectly fine. One is a carbine and one is a double long rifle. Both were less than $100.
Look no further than US Peacekeepers. I have a RAT case, it's pretty damned decent for the price.
One was a Condor and one was NC Star. Both were under $100. Plenty of storage and they have worked great.
My old drag bag died and I needed a new one for an upcoming match. Steve was able to get the Triad Precision Rifle case out to me in record time. It is outstanding. It's not cheap, but I'm guessing it's the last bag I'll ever need to buy...
I've had good luck with the Condor bags. Carbine and pistol along with various pouches
Been using a 5.11 36” bag for years with my AR and now use my short AIAT folder in it. They make a version under $100.

Creedmoor makes some nice cases for around $75. I've had one for 15 years and it's still fine.

Live this one. But it is LONG. Ruger precision with 24" barrel and still have a few inches of length I could use. Does fit the RPR with Viper PST gen 2 well. I don't feel like the zipper will blow out zipping it up one day.
I got a Blackhawk folding case. Functions as a case, drag bag, and shooting mat. I’ve not used it like a drag bag, Using it as a case it does well. As a shooting mat it is more than acceptable. I am fairly certain they are generic cases that have different manufacturers labels sewed on. But it’s been a good case for not a lot of money. I got mine off Amazon.
Some pros about it are that it’s several pieces of gear at once. Nice if you’ve got a long walk to the firing line and you can carry that and your range bag in different hands. It’s not as wide or as long as a Midway mat, but it works. Also, it has buckles, not a zipper. A plus since it’ll be on the ground. No zippers to fill with dirt and mud.

If I may add...........if camo is not an issue for you and the size is right, there are few Gen 4 Kryptek 42" cases on sale right now. At $117, you will never find a SERT TCC or a better case at that price.
+1 on the Drago bag. I’ve had one for a couple years and it’s held up pretty well. It has some decent storage pockets as well.

Condor is made using Chidura died with the urine from any of the major rivers and tributaries in China, knocked off from US-designs conceived by hard-working entrepreneurs, sewn together by slave workers in massive factories in China. Many of the regional governors order women to be targeted specifically for arrest because of their naturally-smaller hands and fingers, so they can get them behind Chinese knock-offs of good Japanese machines, then crank out Condor/NC Star/Voodoo Tactical garbage that falls apart when you pull once on a MORRE webbing slot.
The imitation YKK zippers don't hold up for crap either, and the UV effects on Condor/Voodoo/Chinese gear looks like slow-mo nuke test site erosion of exposed targets.
Their imitation shock cord will bugger up without even being used as well.
For quality US rifle cases that don't break the bank or their zippers, look at:

Was in the same spot a while back, and ended up getting one of the Cabela's Xtreme Long-Range cases. Love this thing. Has adjustable, velco holders to secure the rifle in the case, as well as a muzzle/butt retaining portion to help keep everything secure. Zippers are heavy duty, and plenty of storage for ammo/range needs. IMO, cant beat it for $70 bucks.

See my post above. Voodoo tactical is cheap Chinese garbage with acetyl hardware, fake zippers that blow out, terrible Chidura fabric that is heavy and weak, urea colored snap fasteners with half-cocked riveting that pulls out, cheap imitation para cord pulls, garbage webbing that frays, single stitch trim and assembly that blows out, and all the usual "standards" found from that part of the world.
Friends don't let friends buy Voodoo Tactical or Condor, but retailers and distributors love them because they sell like crack at the price points since the labor is often slave labor. I've seen the distributor price listings for these products left over on the floor of SHOT on clean-up day, and rifle cases with all the pouches were $19 dealer for 100 minimums, then sold for $99 or more. They make a killing on the margins since nobody is really being paid for labor, and the materials are about worthless.

I have 2 Voodoos picked up at Sportsmans and I been using them for 8 years or so and still going strong. For several of those years I was training 2 days a week. With 2 firearms, ammo, range kit they can be stuffed full requiring some hard pulling on the zippers, still going strong. I paid around $50 each. I used them more than any other rifle case. They came with backpack system but never used it,
I also have 2 Eblerstock that I like but they do not carry the same amount of kit as the condor but can be backpacked. Broke a buckle and a slider and Eblerstock wanted to charge me $5 per buckle plus shipping, not very good customer care for spending over $500 with them. Went to Sportsmans and spent $5 for both. Not sure I will buy another.

I have a voodoo drag bag for when I'm not using one of my many pelican cases. It allows me to bring everything, back pack it, and still pack a pistol. 2 years running with no failure. A strap loosened on me once while carrying it; I simply routed the nylon correctly through the buckle, problem solved. I know they're "not much" compared to a pelican or eberlestock, but it has worked for me.

I sew too, and Dupont Cordura is such an incredible fabric, that “Chidura” is is some horrible crap.
A lot of good points here. Although, I'm only worried about Americans becoming slaves. This does, however, make me reconsider my use of said products, not currently made in the United States.
Midway 3gun rifle bag has worked out phenomenally for me. Lengths available in the 50-55 inch range. Accommodates my 24inch MPA perfectly with adequate padding.

Unique Cases made in West Virginia and Pennsylvania. I picked up a simple 46" case for $45 at the last Dixie Knife and Gun Show. The table (several tables together) was being run by people who work for the company, not resellers. Plenty of padding. Sturdy. Nothing fancy. I will buy more of them. The site shows tactical cases with more pockets and such for $56.

Some folks care where and how their products were produced and others shop price, that won't change and its also what keeps the Midways, Cabelas and Walmarts of this world in business.
Personally, I am willing to pay more for "Made in USA" and more if it is made locally, as in the case of Kifaru backpacks, American Mountain Supply, etc.
What I've found is that you can find plenty of $50-$130 US-made cases, so there is no need to buy the Chinese slave-made garbage at the same prices, that will fall apart on you.
