I have a self timing muscle brake by piercision
5/8x24
30 cal
5 port

OD in the nut is 1.050
OD on the slab is 1.005

this thing works like a charm.
zero concussion to the shooter and works well on the recoil too
Had this on a 300 prc and it worked very well for both mentioned above.
I finally have a suppressor for it so I no longer need this.

New to the Hide. I am looking at purchasing a new rifle and have been considering the Bergara B14 Wilderness HMR. I know I am a bit recoil sensitive due to a 300 WSM in a Tikka Hunter several years ago. My question to you, Does a braked 300 PRC recoil similar to that of a .308 without a brake? Thank you.

My 300 prc with a brake is more along the lines of a 243. My 80 lb 12 year old has no problem shooting it and could do so all day.
In saying that... not all brakes will do this. You’re going to have to give up some comfort 1 way or another. If you want less recoil, you’ll have to deal with a little more concussion as the shooter. If you don’t mind a little more recoil, you can have less concussion. All depends on the port angles. As far as less felt recoil, Nathan @ Muzzle Brakes And More aid without a doubt your man. If you can deal with a little recoil and want less blast to the shooter, this brake that I have listed here is money. I have shot both brakes a fair amount and finally found a suppressor was what I needed in the end to serve the purpose of what I needed.
