Something a little different

It's brand new - unfired. What will a photo show?
Ah, my fault then. Didn’t catch that the rifle you linked to was made in 2019 and was unfired.

I was referring to the other guns they are auctioning off. Some made in 1929, like this one:

That's niiiice. For 20,000GBP I bet they'd take a photo if you asked -there is an enquiry tab on the page.

Fortunately for me I shoot left handed, and that is a RH rifle. But for that (and a box of money) I'd be in.

I’m curious as to why?

And what is the “4-5” bit?

if you are familiar with Rock island, they usually only have like 3 photos for a rifle that will sell for $15k. its just how they do it.

maybe if its something odd, they'll jump the photos up to 4 or 5 total. and none with the action open anywhere.

It’s almost like…asking to see an open chamber is like asking to see their bunghole…lol

That strikes me as…I dunno…as affected high-class lazy prudishness or something, so weird

i think its just general lazyness and possibly efficiency. whoever is taking the picture isnt a gun person, most likely. they just hire a photographer, tell him/her to take these photos, dump them to the auction guys who are responsible for listing.

the last auction i was monitoring and trying bid on was a 3 day one in Bedford, TX, there was 700 lots each day.
