I didn't know where this would fit in so I felt like the Armory was as good a place as any. Rewind to the summer and I get it in my head to make a sling shot and although I've never made a sling shot, how complicated could it be? Turns out I didn't know what I didn't know and neither bungee cords or bicycle inner tube make for a good sling shot. I found some forums for sling shots and read that exercise bands are a decent alternative for making slingshots so I picked one up, cut it up, and made this contraption. I know I could've bought a sling shot band or hell a whole slingshot for what I paid for the exercise band but I wanted to make one from scratch, it was fun.

It'll send one of those glass balls through a cardboard box and dent the other side at about 10' or so, which I'm happy with.

I had watched some videos for pointers when I was putting my slingshot together and it's incredible how effective even a homespun slingshot like that can be.

I grew up with home made slingshots. I still have the Y from my grandfather’s. He could keep a pop can on a string dancing. .
I keep the ball bearings from work. Oldest is 8 .

I need to practice more with it, right now I'm pretty confident I can keep them in a fist sized area at about 10' or so like 80% of the time. Watching some of these guys they're zing spoons and shit at will.
