I don't think you understand what inflation IS if you think raising wages will bring it under control. Our economy was almost stagnant under Obama, and then it took off under Trump till Covid hit, and then all of a sudden massive inflation. The money supply was being governed by "Modern Monetary Theory", which is basically throwing out all economics in human history and saying that deficits don't matter.

Raising wages now is like throwing gas on a fire. Demand hasn't slaked and the money keeps pumping. Something has got to give, and the government doesn't show any signs of slowing spending, so unless you want economic collapse, there is going to have to be a great deal of suffering, and that's going to all happen at the bottom end. Throw in millions of illegals, and you have a worker's catastrophe in the making. I think mid 2024 is going to be a reconning. Buy more ammo, and get ready to tighten your belt.

Usually when she drops something on me like that, it's because she is skeptical, and I think wants to hear what I have to say about it. I looked it up on Google and Results Hunter this morning and all I can find are the same articles (from mostly left-leaning outlets) accusing or alleging the use of white phosphorus bombs. Nothing with actual proof. I can see that white phosphorus is a component used in some artillery and since Hamas uses civilians as human shields, it may be inevitable that some civilians are impacted by this component. But to indiscriminately drop white phosphorus bombs with the intended purpose of maiming and killing "innocent" gazans looks to me like propaganda.
