i think something like 40% of gdp was federal spending.
That was 2021 at 43%.
2022 was 37% which I guess you could round up to 40% but that's just cheesy.
2023 was 36% so rounding that one up is just lying.
Now, 2020 was 47+% ... a new and never been dun-b-4 record every democrat should be proud of, you'd have to go all the way back to WWII to get close to it.
The average for the last 100 years is probably somewhere between 25% and 30%
The last time it hovered in the 40% range was when Mike Obama was in the whitehouse.
Facts that aren't current are what gives politicians wings.
We should at least strive to be better than politicians.
