Soon - Elite Tactical 3

My opinion xrs3 is better but i never did like the Gen ll razor. I like the cronus and other scopes over the razor but I felt like the few I looked threw was good glass til about 18 and it got milky but my opinion

Agreed, IMO the XRS2 was better than a Gen 2 Razor optically to my eyes atleast. I’m sure the XRS3 is significantly better, but that’s just a prediction, I haven’t had a Gen 2 next to my XRS3 yet...

Trying to be as unbiased as I can, I agree with this. The XRS3 is a noticeable improvement over the XRS2, as well. I had both out on the range today getting some reps in before a 1-day match next weekend, and even at 36x the XRS3 looks better to me than the 2 does at 30.

Nice. If you get chance can you throw some pics up?

Here ya go. I only snapped a couple of quick photos where you can see the Element caps installed.

My XRS3 6-36 came in today. I can’t really comment on anything glass related because it was dark when I got home. It’s all mounted up and ready to go. Initial impressions are fit and finish are great. I should get out this weekend to break in my new 6BR. I will report back what my untrained eyes think. I will bring a Razor G2 4.5-27 to compare.

For those w the xrs3, does your elevation turrent have rotational slop? My turrent has close to a tenth mil play. Dialing up, the hash marks basically line up on the correct tenth. ( Close enough anyway) Dialing down, they are a hash line thickness away from aligning with the lower tenth. It creates a lot of confusion when dialing down on the clock.

Same here. Sloppy by Bushnell. I sold mine.

Have you reached out to Bushnell about this? Maybe tagging in @Team RCBS & Bushnell can help?

My elevation doesn't have slop. Maybe some minimal +/- play or overtravel, but the lines meet straight and stay put centered up as they should once I'm hands-off spinning the elevation turret. Definitely not 0.1 in play tho... hmmm...

My windage knob is loose AF in all directions like a ball-head when pulled out to twist, lol, but it tightens back up when pressed locked, as it should, and I don't dial wind.

Like BigJim kinda noted in his review, the cost sacrifice here is in the turrets, but the scope is really solid otherwise.

I hope to push mine hard next weekend in a winter PRS one-day match. We'll see how it goes, lol, got my 600yd elevation confirmation today, Brrrr it was cold! This XRS3 is a backup scope for me, so I'm happy with its features at the VIP price-point.

This morning, 3.2 mils (3.1 dialed) for 600y with a 130 eldm going 2940-ish, 6.5 manbun FTW!

I haven't noticed anything like that I will double check mine. I do agree the turrets are weak and mushy but I do like the scope a lot glass is great reticle is awesome not so cluttered. Have to remember the price point it's hard to beat in price range. I think to improve have to move to the $3,000 range that goes for all the scopes in this price range (burris xtr3 mark5 minox lr ect.) but all brands have had issues at some point

My windage turrent is the same. Like you it is of little concern to me as dialing wind is very rare.

I didn’t notice that on my outing today but I really didn’t dial for windage after getting my zero. It took two shots to zero, so it seems as if the measurements in the reticle told me the right thing. Overall, I am very happy with the scope. Nice and clear and to my eyes looked better than the Razor G2. I was working a new barrel, so most of what I was doing was getting some load data. I should be stepping things out further next week.

For those with this scope in hand, do you miss having the illumination on it?

Nope. The only magnified optic I regularly use the illumination on is a 1-8.5.

Since they're shown on the Bushnell wesbite now, for those of you wanting a more grid-style reticle with finer holds, you might want to check out the newly announced EQL reticle for the XRS3 and DMR3.

DMR 3 showed up today! The G4 is outstanding with the floating dot and I feel like it’s the perfect thickness. The only other Bushnell I have is a LRTS 4.5-18 and the glass in this DMR 3 is in another dimension by comparison. I can’t wait to get it mounted up! The only gripe I have is that the turrets were a little mushy but after working them up and down to distribute the grease on the o rings they’re much better.

Read the entire thread but didn’t see it definitively; is the reticle the only difference between the DMRII Pro and the DMRIII? I’m very happy with the Pro but would like it even more with the increased grid.

In addition to the G4 reticle, This is straight from Bushnell:

“The DMR3 has the best glass yet found in our Elite Tactical DMR line. We started with the optical system and glass from the DMR II Pro, then increased both light transmission and edge to edge clarity.”

Ah, yep; I read that and remember now. 2% more light. I agree the G4 reticle is significant; how significant is the increase from the newer coatings? (Shrugs). Thanks though. Was hoping someone had both and could answer based on impressions. Not that Bushnell marketing is biased or anything…!

Anyone have any good through-scope pics? I want to like the G4P reticle but have only seen a few pics online. Needing a new scope for a GAP-15 build. An XRS3 seems fitting...

Best I can do from a wicked cold AF quick 600y mv drop check. Does not do the glass justice, and CA was minimal in the snow. I zoomed in for this screenshot from a pic, trying to get the center dot. I like they made the dot a wee bit larger than most. I don't think you can go wrong with either the DMR3 or XRS3 for the GAP-15.

Judging by this other pic, probably pretty high near max based on where the throwlever mounts are.
The PRS match started at -20F the next day, and I knew it was gonna be a snowy/cold/wet/all-thumbs kind of day. The scope didn't hold me back one bit, and the reticle was intuitive, I can't imagine those of us who used to only shoot .5 mil reticles like the NF MLR wouldn't find this G4 to be just about a perfect hybrid between the .2 mil X-mas trees of today and the old .5 crosshairs of yesteryear.
It's a keeper, and my backup match scope now.

That new reticle is pretty slick lookin.

May have to see about it in the DMR.
My daughter is getting going in shooting and very tickled with the LRHS she is using and more mag and better holds (not just .5) will be key at some point.

Maybe Bushnell wants to sponsor a 10 yr old girl….. 🤣

I’ve been waiting on a warranty replacement DMR3 since August last year after both Bushnell accounts on here refused to help me and ignored my messages, also ignored my email contact on the website, the dealer has stepped up to help but has been waiting on delivery for 9 months.
Anyone else waiting on delivery or got one recently?
safe to say I’m done with bushnells shitty service, especially whoever runs the account on this forum.
