Gunsmithing Source for Rem 700 SA?

Is there a source for bare(just bolt and action) remington 700 Short Actions. I have tried the search function but my search=fu is weak. Any and all info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your time and consideration.

They show out of stock at the moment, but this is the only source of "NEW" recievers that I know of.
You can buy recievers from rifles that have been broken down from Larry Scott. He often posts what he has on the 6br site.
Also the guys at Bugholes.com sell blueprinted 700's.

I may have one in the near future. Currently chambered in 300WSM 24" heavy in HS stock. Not sure of what I want to do but I'll refer back to this post when I figure it out.

You might be able to pick up an inexpensive used Rem 700 and cannibalize it for the action. Sell off what you’re not going to use.

Brownell's has them in stock 3-4 times a year. I think they're in stock now.

you can go to wal mart and buy a complete 700 for less than $550. chunk the stock and use the barrel for a club.
