Southwest Ammunition wait?

Re: Southwest Ammunition wait?

i have been very happy with the accuracy of the SWammo i've used. even won a match with it. but i had to cancel my order earlier this week. i placed it in June for ammo listed as "in stock". i actually bought the entire quantity available because the website said "out of stock" after I placed the order, so i was expecting shipping in a week or so. i checked earlier this week and it's again listed as "in stock" on their website, but apparently we're using an alternate definition of that term.

they seem to be great guys and were very apologetic on the phone. they're offering an outstanding product at a very reasonable price, but at 6+ weeks enough is enough.

Re: Southwest Ammunition wait?

When will the bashing stop. Companies get behind, especially new ones. I have added the help to catch up, adding ammo for waits. It seems no one wants to call, they just want to post right away. We both are loading ammo, we are answering emails and pm's from multiple sites at night.

No one want to mention they bought $19 sub-sonic ammo and say what an awesome price. They just want to post because they want to be herd.

If there is an issue call me.

480 390 8121 is my cell phone. it is now posted in about 5 threads here on the hide.

If you get a label for shipping and it does not register, call me 480 390 8121, We really try and do more than what we can do and sometimes we let things slip threw.

Thanks,

Zach

Re: Southwest Ammunition wait?

Why do you keep taking new orders if you can't ship the old ones? You make a great product and people will wait for it if you just give them a realistic delivery date. I would buy from you again in a minute if your customer service was better.

Gil Horsley</div></div>We can ship the old ones, I have tons of components around here to load, just need more machines. The machines are ordered, just takes time to get them. I have done this approach, believe it or not, you get more phone calls about when will it be available then where is my order. I even get more people calling when a card wasn't charged then when charged at the order time. You cant win, to many personalities.

All I can say is we are working crazy hard, it is very stressful when people are not happy about shipping. The ammo is awesome, the shipping is not at the moment. It will get better, so will the scheduling. We are trying to bribe a person who is very good at the logistics side of business, so Mike and myself can focus on the business and not everything else.

Would love your business Walker, just give a small, new business a chance to get at the level we want to.

Thanks,

Zach

Re: Southwest Ammunition wait?

Hey, SWAmmo, I was a supply Marine and I do acquisition & logistics for DoD. Will work for ammo! =p

Really though, SWAmmo does not ship next day like some big warehouse. But Zach responded to my inquiries in a timely manner. I told him I needed the .308 for a class and made sure to add in enough lead time to allow for SNAFUs. He promised I'd have it on time or he'd make good some other way.

So, thanks Zach, and good luck with the business. Your prices are good, and if the ammo shoots straight, you've got my business. I'm still holding you to your promise if I don't get a delivery on time!

The earlier points on just being 'on the level' are justified.
"Stock status not updated dailey"
"Orders may take 2-4 weeks to process"

You guys with your "worth the wait" aspect may have no pressing concerns. Don't push your reasonings on others. </div></div>

I'm not pushing anything on anyone. I've given these guys a dozen large orders and been very satisfied with the results. I'd be plenty happy if you dropped out, I'd get my ammo sooner.

Re: Southwest Ammunition wait?

Mike and Zack turn out some great ammo, I am glad they have a shit load of orders to fill. They turn out an excellent product. They have delivered all my orders within an acceptable time frame, and if it was running late all it took was a phone call. Mike and zach will square things up for you. It is unfortunate to see so many people bashing them. This is called the fast food phenomenon, people have come to expect their high quality products given to them immediately.
If you don't want to wait then reload gents! Patience my friends no need to get nasty.
FWIW I wouldn't turn down business because I was backed up with work.
Great work mike and Zach!

We will be installing the shower at the shop next week, just kidding, the baby wipes are doing the job for now.

Re: Southwest Ammunition wait?

I've posted before about the bang up job SW AMMO does. They are a standup company with a great product at incredible prices. Congrats on the baby girl zach, we can't wait to get word when she shows up. Keep up the good work, keep your chin up and your head behind cover....

Re: Southwest Ammunition wait?

Had to chime in.

I've ordered a few times from southwest. Most have been great, one order got royally jacked up but 2 calls later it was squared up.

They are a small company and things are still in the trial and error phase it seems. But the 308 and 556 I've gotten from them has never disappointed me. I keep ordering from them bc the quality is amazing, and if I do have a problem, I call. A normal human being answers the phone, which is a luxury nowadays, and my ammo gets here.

They are good people who I believe are really trying to provide a service to the firearms community, but things don't always go 100%. As I understand it from talking with them this is their main source of income, so I'm pretty sure that for themselves and their families they are doing everything to make sure the business succeeds.

Re: Southwest Ammunition wait?

Zach,

Congrats on the impending arrival! I keep reminding myself of the line I heard in the movie Clueless, where the father was speaking to his daughter's date "I have a .45 and a shovel, no one will miss you"
