Or to leave unanswered emails about why the stuff Botach charged your Visa for hasn't arrived in several months, or where the rest of your order is, or why you got sent the wrong goods, or......

Mike, based on your company's reputation on this and other boards, I don't think you're going to get much business. You've got little to no credibility.

Anybody considering ordering from Botach should check this thread . It says a lot about their business practices that "being Botach'd" has become a verb meaning 'to have been screwed', as in: "That guy Botach'd me; I sent him the money but never got anything."

Seriously guys?

I'm on here to offer a discount for members of your community. If you don't want to use it, then don't use it, but I'm sure that some people will. 10% may not be enough for you, but it's enough for the people who buy from us without any discounts.

There are enough threads where you can dog us, including the link you provided. There's no need to turn a good-hearted offering of a discount into another thread dragging us through the mud. It's just unnecessary.

I think the phrase...'Too Little, Too Late' fits nicely.

We have a bunch of excellent sources for gear nowadays, so there is no need to risk "gettin' Botach'd" anymore. Good Luck with your sale.

Some people are just not very smart, and while i originally removed the initial response the poster felt it important to put it back.

There is a saying that says, <span style="font-style: italic">"if you can't say anything nice don't say anything at all"</span> that seems to be lost on a lot of people who fancy themselves spokesman for those who never asked to be spoken for.

My past dealings with Botch have been about 50/50 good and bad. Mostly waiting on non-existent back ordered items. For 10% I dunno if I'll try again, but thanks for the code.

So Mike you acknowledge that your comanpy has screwed over quite a few guys, and you acknowledge that there are threads where it has been plainly stated what you have done. But yet you want the guys who've been screwed over by you, to roll over and not warn anyone else?? Good luck.

I think it would say more to the membership if you sponsored the site than if you offer a discount code. That is just my opinion, as I think most here tend to support the site's sponsors as they tend to be a reliable bunch. I am not suggesting that simply sponsoring the site will mend all the wrongdoings, but I think it would be taken as a step in the right direction... after that its up to you guys to slowly rebuild your reputation.

GL I don't want to talk for Frank, but I don't see that happening. The funds is one thing, but to have the history that they have and still allow them on here and benefit? I don't see it happening.

Basically I think that being a Hide Sponor is kind of a earned deal. Yes Frank could just take the payent and allow anybody and anything fly on here, but where would it end if that was allowed? I think that Mike should follow the rules of the board and if hes not willing to better his business performance, or sponsor the hide, then give him acoupld days on the beach when he tries to skirt the sponsor rules and give out discounts.

I feel it's time for me to raise a point on a separate, but related, issue.

I've been seeing quite a few members who have been passively advertising their companies, while some are okay with saving a buck or two, it goes against the sponsors of this site, who have properly paid for the mutual benefit it gives, and respected the laws that were put into place.

Mike@Botach. I've seen every post and topic that you have made, all while quietly peddling(passively advertising) your company, and now you make a topic, actively advertising 10% off at your company, obviously aimed at the members of this site(which also undermines the sponsors because they pay for that).

So, when exactly is your company going to pay to be a sponsor?

I think what everyone is trying to say is..... stop skirting the site rules and pay up Mike. You are spitting in the eye of every SH Vendor that is on here trying to pass of company offers without paying the site to be a sponsor.

Fixed it for you. When I made my earlier post, I missed the idea of a non-sponsor advertising in a thread like this. You've heard the expression, "One Aww Shit wipes out a hundred Attaboys"? What do you think it will take to wipe out a hundred "Aww Shit" episodes?

I am in the 50/50 camp.

I place an order and if it shows up I am pleasantly surprised, and if not I assume it was out of stock. I will get no reply and the order will stay open for years.....

Stanwood - I didn't say, in any way, that we've screwed anybody over. I said that there are other threads where people have and do express their dissatisfaction with their experience with us. We don't screw over anybody and you would be very surprised to know the amount of people who email me with similar accusations, and how quickly and easily the problem or confusion gets resolved.

Guys, this posting wasn't some diabolical scheme to skirt or break any rules. It's really unfortunate that you turn this, which was nothing more than a gesture of goodwill to the members of this community, into all of the above postings. The only reason that I came specifically to Snipers Hide to offer this is because I correspond with many SnipersHide members via email, so I was trying to do good by them and their peers.

We actually are interested in paying to be sponsors for forums, including this one, as it's something that we've been discussing. However, with the continued hostility from you guys that will ultimately going to cost other members, who would want to take advantage of this coupon, the chance to get it, I question why we'd do so if this is the response that we can look forward to.

Since at this moment we aren't paid sponsors and Lowlight has been nice enough to let this posting remain (since this is a deal specifically for his members) this will be my last response out of respect for not cluttering his forum with pointless banter.

If you want to use the coupon, it's for you... that's why I offered it.
