Question:When I buy TAC-22 online it's mostly red box with black stripe,says 1083 FPS on box.Crono'd in 3 different rifles it runs 1115 ish in an 25" 1130 ish in a 18".Accurate yes, but others have notice the occasional sonic crack in NRL with tac22
I purchased some locally at a chain/sporting goods store ,mostly black with red stripe says 1100 fps on tab,chron'd 1075 in 18",1060 in 25".It is a lot more expensive from store

Black with the red stripe is the old stuff. Not current lots. We’ve never carried the older stuff and to be honest I wasn’t aware there was a velocity difference.
Regarding this lot of newer packaging, whatever dealers have is it. It’s gone until next year.
