Night Vision Specific question for anyone who has an Armasight Zeus

I have an Armasight Zeus 640 2-16x50, about two years old. These units are offered with multiple different objective sizes. I can't quite tell how the objective is mounted to the unit, it looks like its either pinned on or held on by absolutely tiny set screws. I have noticed a small amount of looseness of the entire objective assembly when I grab the focus ring. The assembly can be rotated back and forth slightly (3-4 degrees?) before something hits a stop, then the focus ring begins to turn. Is this normal, or is my objective assembly coming loose? I really don't want to send the thing to Armasight and wait forever to find out everything is normal. I also don't want my germanium lens to fall off. Anyone who has one of these units know if this is normal?

I've had three zeuses ... and this is not normal, you should send it in for repair.

The good news is you don't have to send it in to Armasight. Well, you can't, Armasight no longer exists and FLIR fired all their people. Armasight is gone. What's left of them became another company or three.

The bad news is you have to send it back to FLIR ...

This same thing happened to my hunting buddy. He ended up sending his in. Flir sent him a different unit in return as a replacement

An update for others who might have this problem. I took a really close look at my scope and found that what I thought looked like pins around the objective area of the main housing were actually super tiny hex-head screws. I had to buy a hex wrench set at Menards to get one that small. Discovered these were really loose. Tightened them super gently and the wiggle in the lens disappeared immediately.

hunted with it tonight. Seems to be holding up.
There were some tiny flat-head screws near the base of the objective themselves, but loosening and tightening these didnt seem to solve anything. It’s the itty bitty hex head screws on the main optic frame that are the culprit.

Happy to avoid having to send it back to FLIR.
