Looks amazing !

Curious if there are any optic mounts with a see-through channel to let you use the BUIS with the optic still attached, like some of the M1A mounts ? Or would that just lead to really high mounting and an awkward head position ?

Thanks EBR. The only scenario that the irons are meant to be used with the optic is co-witnessing with the front sight while in CC mode on the Short Dot (or using the lower end power range with other optics)for close quarters target engagement. A see through mount for this application doesn't exist and wouldn't lend well to proper cheek weld. There are a few other possibilities for the irons if the NV Mount is reversed for mounting a SCOUT scope.

That is one slick iron sight setup. Good job thinking out of the box on that one. That is what the Steyr Scout rifle wanted to be.

For 90% of the matches and hunting in N. America...that could be the first and last rifle anyone needed to buy.

I was reading up on your website about this rifle and I noticed you talked about a proprietary folding stock for this set up. Do you have any images of this? And how much would the weight change roughly with the addition of this option?

I don't yet have any photos to display and I expect the stock to be available closer to year end. The rifle will likely be a bit heavier than the mostly Carbon Fiber stock pictured on the website and here.

I bet that thing is a blast to shoot with the back-up sights alone. Let alone that snazzy S&B scope.

Thanks Guys. I shot steel plates down in Phoenix on Friday out to 300+ yards (with the rifle pictured in this post), and all of my 200 yards hits were with the BUIS.

I just completed two MilSpec versions of the SPECTER-BABR. The only differences between the MilSpec and Non-MilSpec versions are:

18" Barrel instead of 19"
Surefire FH/Adapter instead of AAC
