Suppressors Spectre ii vs sparrow?

I own both and both are great cans. The Sparrow is a little shorter and has a more compact feel to it. I'd almost say it looks a little more "refined". To me they suppress a 22lr about the same. I notice a slight first round pop with the Sparrow on a 22/45 but not on a rifle. I don't notice a first round pop with the Spectre on either. Friends that have tried them out are split on which is "quieter".

You can't go wrong with either one.

The new design Spectre 2 is a great improvement over the Spectre 1 in that the baffles completely contain the blast and just and really not much contacts the serialized tube.

The only real advantage I see with the Sparrow over the Spectre 2 is that the Sparrow has nothing threaded in the serialized tube so there is no thread to mess up on the external tube. That way if the internals of the can get messed up somehow, there is minimal chance that the serialized portion will sustain any damage.

The front cap and the back cap both thread directly into the serialized tube on the Spectre 2. If those threads get messed up, you would need a new can and a new $200 stamp.

I own a Spectre 1, Element, Spectre 2 and a Sparrow SS.

THE main reason for the skirted baffles on the Spectre II was for making removal of the baffle stack easier and without the need for a pusher/take down tool like the original Spectre. The pusher tool was first an option then later on they included it in with each Spectre because it was tough to remove the baffle stack.

My buddy has a Spectre II can and it works great. I have an original Pilot, SS Sparrow and soon an Alpine.

I've got the Spectre II and am well pleased. Shooting it on a 22/45 Lite there is no first round pop and it seems very quiet. The Gemtech subsonic is very impressive. I bought it because of the caliber versatility and don't mind the extra weight. I am soon going to thread my Anschutz .17HMR an and a Five-seven pistol. I'll post an update once I get that done.
