I have a 50th anniversary 7mm mag bdl that I hunt with. It has a sporter barrel but it seems a little thicker than sporter though. It's probably a 3/4 moa gun with 162 elds.and it's all stock with hunting base and ringsand 3x9 accupoint. Damn good shooter. I have a tally 20moa base and a jewel trigger set aside for a build I was gonna do. But that's not gonna happen for awhile. So I was thinking throwing it in the 7mag putting on one of my bigger scopes. I think I can tune it into a half moa gun or better. And seeing how far I could stretch it out to. 1/9.25 twist. I won't be shooting long strings giving the barrel plenty time to cool off. What's the biggest bullet this would stabilize. And how long you think I can stretch this out to. I know it's not a target rifle but I know the potential range of the cartridge. But would 1500yds be doable with 24 inch barrel. I just want something to play with and this is what I got.
