Found this a minute ago, pretty sure it's a sporterized Gewehr '88 rifle. Looks pretty neat. The case coloring is pretty on these old guns. Anyone know what TYSKT is, though?

I'm guessing 9x57mm Mauser but it could be 9x56mm Mannlicher-Schoenauer or some other antiquated cartridge I've never heard of. 100% not 9mm Parabellum.
I have one of these... nice rifle. Beautiful. Lots of them made to sporter standard by many of the best German smiths. Many came home In 1945 as war trophies.
I bought one about 5 years ago for 600. It is stunning. So price on this is not bad.
they are not rare. But to replicate today would cost 5k. The workmanship.
grab it and enjoy. Amazing Edwardian (Kaiserian) craftsmanship.
Nice commercial 88 sporting rifle... they were manufactured until right after WW1. I had a nice V.C. Schilling j bore that I stupidly sold. Barrel was marked V. Chr. Schilling - Suhl - Prussia. Have also seen them mfg by C.G. Haenel.
