Looking to start a thread similar to all the rifle picture threads for people to share pics of their sporting scopes or other shot observation tools and their setups, and to discuss the various options and accessories that they find most useful. Institutional knowledge, experience, and experimentation welcome.

My humble first offering:

That’s real cool. Obviously the Unertl brand has a rich history, and that’s pretty cool. Any clue on manufacturing date?

No, only numbers I can find on it. Bought at estate sale. Old man passed and I bought some reloading stuff from them too.
Wife didn't know anything to help.

My cheap setup. Bushnell Legend T 15-45x scope, 4500nv Kestrel with Badger mount, cheap ass red dot, Bushnell Prime 1800 rangefinder, Leofoto rail kit.

I just found the other thread of these. I looked a bunch before I started this one, and then, bam. Now I find the other one. (Facepalm)

Spotters - Spotting Scope Setups - Show Em!

It’s to reduce light and glare in some lighting conditions. It also increases the depth of field. I've seen some Fclass guys do something similar with their rifle scopes. Put a cover over the objective with a small slit in it.
