I HAVE AN ALUMINUM RECIEVER SPRINGFIELD SAR-8 WITH THE GREEEN FURNITURE. I READ IN THE BLUE BOOK THAT THIS IS THE LAW ENFORCEMENT VERSION. WHATEVER THAT MEANS. ANYWAY, ON THE SEAR PACK IT HAS "SAFE" MARKED WITH AN "S", "FIRE" MARKED WITH AN "E" AND THEN IT HAS A THIRD POSITION MARKED WITH AN "F". THE ONLY PROBLEM IS IS THAT THERE IS A PIECE OF METAL BLOCKING THE SELECTOR SWITCH FROM MOVING INTO THAT THIRD POSITION. IS THIS ONE OF THE BIGGEST ATF LOOPHOLES OR IS IT JUST THERE FOR LOOKS? ANY THOUGHTS WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. THANK YOU.

Re: SPRINGFIELD SAR-8 SEAR PACK QUESTION

First turn off the all caps no need to yell and it makes it very difficult to read.It is not a loop hole the gun has no auto sear in it. They are built from surplus military rifles just like alot of FnFals. The block is there so you dont go past the E or single fire position which without the auto parts the rifle would not fire.
