I just paid for one, sweet gun and I am really excited about shooting it and giving a proper range report but of course every moron in the state is buying a gun right now so I don't have it yet... in a state that you can usually buy a gun a lunch time the wait is up to 6 days with 11,780 people in the system doing backgrounds. F*&king people piss me off, if they are going to hang out in my lifestyle the better speak the f*&k up when it's time instead of pretending they don't like guns.
So, when I get it, I'll do pics and a range report, I may have to start a new thread.

You'll love the XDs. Mine has quickly become my choice for carry. Nice little package that packs a big wallop.
As for the wait, there have never been more applications being filed than now. There are dealers here in KY that are selling as much in a day as they did last year.

I was working the store today and people were getting cleared from last saturday... Wtf? Some asshat was consigning his base model bushmaster 20" mil spec gun with nothing done to it for 2100.00. People are amazing, funny how somehow antigun laws are "what the people want" what people? Not the now 12,000 plus people in the system waiting to be cleared.

Cant wait for the ammo shortage again, that should be fun. Last time I was so depressed I did nothing but work for 6 months, no reloading stuff, no ammo and when there was some it was expensive. Bunch of dickheads stuffing on shelves in their basement... Hey I shoot! A lot! Its not a good week unless Ive had more than 3 range days. I dont go crowd the golf course and eat up all the good tee times when Tiger Woods gets in trouble.

I love my XDS and carry it almost every day. I haven't bought a gun since I bought it 3 months ago. Does the wait time apply to CHL holders? It took me about 5 minutes to walk in and out with the gun when I bought it.

Coolbreese, good to hear about your XDs. No, there should be no wait time for anyone in CO. But because of recent events everyone and their mom bought a gun in the last couple weeks CBI is having trouble clearing everyone. Good point about CHL, we should be exempt. 8 days now and still not cleared, unreal. Last I checked and there were 13,000 people in the system at once.

Just picked one up today. Ive got the next month off so I should be at the range quite a bit (ammo costs depending). There is a ton of info on em over at xdtalk

One of the members makes some good lookin leather owb for a decent price (N8rfastback. He does a high or low ride so the should be easy to hide under a button up or tshirt.

They are built like a tank. It will still be be running like a swiss clock when you kick the bucket. It will surely outlive all of us.

hope you're enjoying your skinny XD! my go to pistol is an xdm 45 compact. i love it. i prefer to shoot it more than any of my other pistols. it will outshoot even my full size 9mm pistols. they know how to put together a great piece of steel over at SA.
