Opening day of squirrel season here. Got to the woods about 6:30am, walked in 3/4 of mile, found a spot that had acorns and hickory nuts on the ground; found a place to sit and wait. Saw 4 squirrels, put my crosshairs on two of them but didn't pull the trigger...wasn't a good shot for either, even though they were only about 15 yards away. Lots of cutting up in the canopy, but with all the leaves couldn't see the squirrels up there.
