Opening morning a couple weeks ago. Weather wasn't the greatest and visibility low due to fog on the ridges. I actually ended up with four for the day. First trip with the CZ 452.

Good shooting, they are really moving around here right now. I'm not fast enough with a 22 I resort to a 20ga with high brass #5s. I'll break out the rifle in October when they settle down.

If you have a chance to get to Elk Mountain. It is East of Walden and season opener is between early and first Elk season, so no worries about stray bullets. http://wildlife.state.co.us/SiteCollectionDocuments/DOW/RulesRegs/Brochure/StateTrustLands.pdf

Ive taken my kids up there the last two years, plenty of squirrels. Great trails, about a good 2 mile hump. The trail head and parking is right at the end of the road.

Southern fried squirrel, roasted squirrel, squirrel stew, braised squirrel, poached squirrel, squirrel with beans and redeye gravy, chicken fried squirrel, squirrel on a stick...it's all good...

By the way, nice rifle and good catch!

I just picked up a CZ452 in a trade. What scope and rings are you using?

Thanks AMTeam, I shoot a Bushy Elite 6500 2.5x14 on this set up with Burris medium rings and a 20 moa rail. You will enjoy the 452!
