Still waiting for KAC uppers to come in stock. I’ve played with the idea of doing a KAC SBR with the SR30 9.5” upper instead of the SR15 11.5” upper.

Either way, it would be mainly ran suppressed. This would also be my primary NV gun used for hunting/target shooting under nods.

I already have a 5.56 Daniel Defense SBR. Just thinking the SR30 upper would be a good addition to my KAC lower vs another 5.56 SBR.

Does anyone have experience with the SR30?

How does the SR30 cycle supers and subs? I know the gas block isn’t adjustable which is fine. Just curious if it’s designed to run primarily suppressed with subs and if you need to swap buffer weights.

While using nods, is the 300blk noticeably harder to hit further targets since you don’t have a reticle and using IR laser?

Just weighing pros and cons of each.

16" available:

Sorry, I should've been more specific. 9.5" mod 2 mlok in 300BO

Got 9.5" 300 BLK boomsticks at chrome so might check in with KAC sales. Not sure if they've been deemed for a particular upper kit so would not hurt to call sales with your inquiry.

Ahh OK-Operation Parts has them on their website-not in or out of stock just a "call to order". Not exactly sure what that means. If I see one I'll let you know. Cool upper.

But you probably want this one-which is out of stock:

If I see one I'll let you know.

It’s a good piece of kit as is a Daniel Defense. 5.56 11.5” uppers vs 9.5” 300 blkouts are like comparing apples and oranges though. They are different animals for different purposes. 5.56 NATO is flatter shooting whereas 100 yards in or CQB 300 blkout is nice especially suppressed

People who use the term piece of kit should be beaten to death with hammers. It's KAC, can't go wrong either way. If sbr suppressed is what you want, hard to beat the sr30. Can still run supers through it if you need more range/energy

anyone know why the sr-25 has not adopted the e3 enhancements like the sr-15? Seems to me the extractor could really use the enhancement. Has knights given any reason why it has not developed this change. Is it even necessary on the bigger platform that can utilize bigger parts?

Just for curiosity sake, what enhancement from the SR15 extractor could we extrapolate to the SR25? and why?
