So I was out shooting at 1000 today and my ss10x42 wind age knob farqed up. At first I thought it was just the piece with the marking lines moving like people say they can, the As the day went on it just spin. The knob and the piece under it with marking lines. The whole thing just spin with no clicks at all. Checked the set screws and make sure nothing was lose.
Needless to say I got to send a call to swfa but here is my question.
I'm thinking about trying to see if I can upgrade to the mrad ones with mil quad retical but is it worth it? Also am I correct to assume that if you set dope and shoot, if you measure the impact from center of retical with th retical, can you dial that amount shown on retical in even amounts on turrets? For instance with my mil dot/Moa one now If the bullet impacts 1 mil low I just dial up 3.5 Moa. So with the mil I have to consider 1 mil is 3.5 Moa. But on the mrad mil quad if it impacts 1 low on the mil quad retical is it an even equation? So 1 mil quad low dial 1 mrad on scope?
Thanks for the help. Trying to figure this out and sorry for misspelling or wording problems, I am typing this on my ipad.
Oh also I have 2 other rifles with mildot scopes should I just stick with Moa/mildot?
