Stabilizing bullets with a short barrel

I have a factory savage 12 .243 win with 26” 1-9” twist barrel that will stabilize a 105gr hornady hpbt. I am wanting to cut it down to 16.5” for a truck gun. What are the odds that it will still be able to spin a 105 fast enough to stabilize?
