Both used to be on Netflix, now just Farscape remains, but I just got done watching all 10 seasons of Stargate SG1, all 5 seasons of Atlantis, both seasons of Universe, all three Stargate movies, and then a couple days ago finished watching all 4 seasons of Farscape and the Peacekeeper Wars, and Farscape was so good I'm on my second play through currently.

So have any of you guys seen any of these shows? What do you think? If you haven't seen Farscape yet, I seriously suggest you check it out (as it's the only one still on Netflix. Check out SG1 if you have Amazon Prime). You're probably going to have to push yourself through most of the first season, as it only REALLY gets good towards the second season, after Chinana and Scorpy show up, but I don't think you'll be disappointed at all.

Re: Stargate and Farscape.

LOL, I own SG1, Atlantis and Universe plus the movies then there is battlestar galactica and caprica. So I am a fan and share the like. I started viewing farscape by netflix but stopped after the fist disc maybe I need to revisit it.

I am still holding out hope for a return of Universe (movie or a few episodes) because I got to know Eli Wallace makes it and if the ship a crew gets to the other galaxy... knowing MGM sold off most of the set and props I may be waiting a while.

Re: Stargate and Farscape.

I got through all of the Stargates and wish they would come back with SGU. It was the most interesting by far.

Having a hard time with Farscape thus far - barely finished season 1. Getting pretty desperate though as I am coming close to seeing everything that Netflix has to offer.

Re: Stargate and Farscape.

Yea, for all of you guys who watched a couple episodes and thought it was too out there or goofy, I suggest you push yourself though till the second season at least. It really wears on you, trust me, and the story also picks up a bit as well.

Also, I'd like to see more stargate, but universe was my least favorite by far. I would also like to see if they make it, but as much as I like Robert Carlyle, even he couldn't save it for me. I'm much rather see more SG1 or Atlantis episodes. Atlantis also left on sort of a cliffhanger, and I'd like to see them at least beat the Wraith or something.

Cliffhangers aside, SG1 is still my favorite and I'd rather see some more episodes of those. Didn't much care for the Ori arc, but that's over now anyway.

Also Farscape Spoiler, but: <div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Click to reveal.. <input type="button" class="form-button" value="Show me!" onclick="toggle_spoiler(this, 'Yikes, my eyes!', 'Show me!')" /></div><div class="ubbcode-body"><div style="display: none;">D'Argo....

If you haven't seen Stargate yet, I suggest you check it out. Really good shit. Start with the 1996 movie if you're gonna watch it. It has Kurt Russell, and it's pretty good, but keep in mind that the show is 10 times better, cast's all new characters, and has a comedic vibe to it where the movie does not.

Truth. Her voice is sexy as hell too.

Yea, me too. I actually watched the first episode a while ago and then stopped and started watching SG1 again because I didn't like it. The only reason I pushed myself to start watching again is because I ran out of Stargate and Ben Browder and Claudia Black were both in it so I figured I'd give it another shot.

Re: Stargate and Farscape.

I am a huge fan of SG-1 and Atlantis, SG universe sucked for me, too serious and too much drama.
I have all the DVD for those,
farscape was excellent also and with a good sense of humor.
Claudia Black was in SG Atlnatis also.
I really miss those Stargate friday night.

Suum cuique.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed SG1 and SG Atlantis (had to ignore the anti-religious themes though), but could not get through a single episode of SG Universe. The SGU psychodrama style just was annoyingly overwrought.

The writers' consistency in clever plots and twists is quite praiseworthy, all the more so considering that they did it for 15 seasons of SG1 and Atlantis!

Based on the tip, we'll check out Farscape—after I catch up on the reading I missed watching SG.

Re: Stargate and Farscape.

I think the last part of the Farscape series is where they really stepped up their game, the middle got a bit repetitive but they worked really hard to give it one of the best ending run of any recent series.

One interesting series that is worth a look is LEXX, but only the first 4 part miniseries a quirky science fiction series made by some Canadians that had a pretty good story plot. Then they made it into a series and that sucked for the most part.

Re: Stargate and Farscape.

Of all the Sci-Fi shows: SG1 and Atlantis were my favorites. I was actually ( and still am) pissed that they ended SGU the way they did.

Anyone remember Space: Above and Beyond? That was really good too. Hoping Netflix picks up on that one. I hated the way they ended that one too.

Never got into Farscape. I would have to start from the begining and see how that goes.

Oh, and Babylon 5 was the first show that got me really into Sci-fi stuff. Thinking about getting the box set for that one.
