I am also doing a piece on very high mag scopes:
Delta Stryker HD 5-50x56
Sightron SV ED 10-50x60
Vortex Golden Eagle 15-60x52
This might be a springboard into another optics lesson on Rayleigh criterion, resolution limits, etc.
In general, I am looking for topics to cover in future videos, so if there is something you want to see, speak up.

How about the Trijicon Accupower 5-50x56?
I've really been curious about the 4.5-30 and the 5-50 accupowers. I haven't seen much about them yet.
These are somewhat similar to Delta Stryker HD (and Athlon Cronus and a few other designs in the case of 4.5-30x) except with Trijicon's reticles. I do not know if there are any significant internal differences, but I doubt it. If anything, Trijicon is likely to do less QC than Delta, but I could be wrong. I sorta prefer Delta reticles and I already have the Stryker's here, so I doubt I will make an effort to get my hands on the Accupower scopes.
To me Trijicon is at their best when they utilize they expertise in fiber and tritium illumination. When they step away from that, they are just another "me too" maker, which is not enough to overcome the likely pain in the neck of having to deal with them.

Maybe you could cover certain things like why some scopes (TT525P, vortex amg, etc) have such forgiving parallax. Or how some scopes like the NF 7-35 can go down to 10 meters while others can’t.
As I compete more I find having a forgiving parallax a huge asset so I don’t have to mess with it on the clock. I guess that’s why I’m still in love with my little old Premier 3-15 tactical.
Also, maybe another topic could be eyebox and why some scopes are tight and others more forgiving. Perhaps in relation to magnification range.
For example maybe a 3-27 isn’t as forgiving at a 3-20, and neither is as good as a 3-15, etc?
I know we all have at one point looked for a “do all” scope and usually mag range is a compromise at some point. As a prs shooter, a forgiving eyebox is also really helpful.

Not sure if it's just me, but the sound on your YouTube videos is very quiet.
I'm no expert on YouTube videos, but is there something you can do to increase the volume?

It was really quiet in the beginning, then I started messing with different microphones, so in the more recent ones it should be better.
Or is it still too quiet?

I'll see what I can do. Unfortunately, there is no simple answer to these questions since they depend on the optical design specifics.

The Ares vs Vortex vs Stryker is very quiet.
The Sightron 10-50 vs Stryker 5-50 is a little better, but still too quiet for my laptop. My laptop has not the best speakers, but 99% of videos work fine.
Not sure if others are finding the same issues.
I think they have a ten year warranty. I am not sure about the distributor yet. I know they are talking to somebody.

Loved it ILya keep up the great work. Makes me wish i could've convinced my brother to take a slightly bigger step to a Athlon Cronus or Delta (if applicable) over his PST Gen II. Having said that for what we paid it's a very nice optic. Hard to complain and he's more than happy with it. I'm a bit on the young side but started in the precision game nearly 10 years ago and vividly remember the players back then with little to no options. Love seeing the market booming and pushing forward design after design. Competition breeds innovation as they say.
If you somehow found the time i'd love to see a review on the new Kahles lineup. Just to hear your thoughts versus the standard players in that range (Minox, NF, S&B).

Looking forward to this. You're one of the few people who's opinion on optics I would trust without reservations.
I would really like to see FOV shown at min power and maybe 10-15x. One thing I have seen over and over is people get a scope for it's max power only to struggle finding targets even when on reasonable power.
As an example, this type of general misunderstanding was almost comical when the NRL22 first took off - people were forgetting (including me) that their go to 12-15x for centerfire match ranges doesn't quite look the same at 25 and 50 yards.. At first, I saw several Sightron 10-50s and NF 7-35s showing up.. not so much anymore...

I think Delta's 5-50x56 scope is a pretty good across the board target scope if you need wide FOV at some point. It is SFP though. For FFP people, they have the 4.5-30x56 mentioned above.

With how much coffee I drink, anything above 16x is like trying to look through a straw on a washboard road. 50x? Yeesh.
For me, FOV is so critical I wind up punting on most 5x scopes- 3x and 4x just seems to offer up so much more real estate.

I am usually OK with scopes that start at 5x or lower, but that certainly depends on the application.
I have seen this new Delta 5-50 on anything from fancu airguns to F-TR rifles. I think it was used to win something F-TR related in Canada earlier this year.

I've been snooping around Sightron catalogues & notice that the new 27008 ED SV 10-50x60 is claimed to be 0.4" shorter though 0.9oz heavier than the non-ED version 27000/27001. Do you feel that increase is directly proportional to the ED glass? I'm not sure where the 0.4" where taken off or if that was a combination of different point along the length.
ETA: I'm also curious if you've ever had the chance to peer through the Stac 2.5-17.5x56. They claim ED lenses & it does very well w/chromatic aberration up to 7x. Hard to compare as CA rears its ugly head at 8x & SV starts at 10x. The stac is a faster scope w/slightly smaller objective, but the old SV shows CA from the get go. Not overpowering though yellow left & indigo right are noticable on a T-bar below me w/heavily wooded area behind & to the sides. There's a tiny spot in the eyebox of the SV where CA isn't obvious at least at the low end of magnification, A very tiny area. Of course the old SV had no ED & it shows under adverse/harsh conditions that lend to CA friendly conditions .

I got my 5-50x56 yesterday and was able to get it mounted and shoot it this afternoon. I ran two tall target test that showed a .8% tracking error with 3 shot groups as my 338 lapua is chambered in $5 bills. The glass is surprisingly good at 40x but gets a little noisy at 50 in my opinion. I was very hesitant about purchasing this scope due to the lack of reviews but im glad i did. If you need the extra magnification i consider it a bargain at $1700.00
