Steiner and LDI
Steiner-Optik, a well-known manufacturer of high quality optics since 1947, has acquired Laser Devices, Inc. (LDI). We have all come to know and use, the fine laser aiming solutions that LDI has produced. So, we get asked: What does this mean for us, the Customer? The simplest answer is…nothing will change. LDI will remain as an independent operation. While the packaging of the systems will change, reflecting the new “Steiner” name on all products, the quality will remain the same. In fact, in some ways, it will change for the better. With Steiner’s investment and, drawing on their 67 years of manufacturing know-how, production timelines will be shortened. That will equate to better products with better availability. Additionally, two of the most popular, restricted Military/ LE systems will now be stocked (as opposed to manufactured “on-order”). Those are the DBAL-A2 and DBAL-A3.
Steiner and LDI were both gracious enough to meet with us at our West Coast Headquarters. We were presented with their road-map forward and, we were impressed with their desire to continue to move in a positive direction. We will continue to work with them to develop and provide cutting-edge products to both the commercial and professional markets.
Customers will soon begin to see the newly packaged systems. Rest assured that while the name has changed, the quality that you have come to expect, has not. We look forward to what the future holds.
Sincerely,
TNVC
