Steiner P4Xi illumination problem?

Hi everyone,

picked up this P4Xi recently. Just noticed today though that the top portion of the cross hair is illuminated as well. Is it safe to assume this isn’t normal? I’ve emailed Steiner to see, but I’m hoping this would be covered under warranty?

Similar to mine. They told me no big deal, would only have illumination cranked up in daylight conditions. I decided not to sweat it.
