Steiner vs. Leupold

LPVO vs. Dedicated LRP Scope
$1,499 vs. $899 MSRP
I know nobody is shopping these two scopes given vastly different use cases and price points. But had the house all to myself this afternoon and my mind wandered...very interesting to see what you get for more $$$
Observations:
- FOV: At 80 Yards the 5x zoom on Steiner T5Xi gives more than Leupold. But seems 5x Steiner is closer to 4.5x Leupold.
- Edge Blur: Very outer edge of Leupold scope has this...blur? Definitely does not impact overall clarity and I never noticed until side by side with Steiner....
- Clarity: I wouldn't say Steiner is brighter, but the contrast especially in the 850 yard pic is notable for something with 24mm vs 50mm objective. Also, to my eye, everything in the Steiner has a crispness and a vibrance that stands out from the Leupold.
Love both of them....
