Rifle Scopes Steiner T5Xi - anyone get their lens covers?

Hmm. Nothing in my box except a redemption coupon stating I can get free lens covers if I post an online review at Steiner's website.

I'm being promised they will ship ASAP. We'll see . . .

Did you get a mil or leo discount by chance? That negates the deal I was told.

You might not want to hear this, but you have a VERY early model T5, like first run production. When the T5 series was first introduced, the Tenabraex caps were about a month or so behind the release of the scope, so you got a card in the box that said you would get your free caps if you posted an online review. Steiner started including the caps in the box some time later.

The other issue with your scope might be the tracking that plagued the initial release. Steiner would later come out with the updated internals seen on the current scopes. I would suggest sending it back to Steiner to have the elevation controls replaced with the current design.

I had the same deal, post review and get scope. This was the setup early on. Later they shipped the covers with the scopes. I had problems getting my throw lever and covers until I contacted the right person at Steiner. They were trying to get their line going and were having growing pains.
I was kinda pissed at first but they explained what had happened and made it right. +1 for Steiner
Is it possible that you got an older scope? Does it have the updated turrets (with triangle)? If not might want to send it in if it is not tracking the way you want. They do a free update.

Thanks guys.

I must have bought an older scope. The box was quite dusty!

I already sent it in, and Steiner updated my turrets. I'm happy about that. And the lens covers and throw lever came in the mail yesterday. Apparently they had a computer SNAFU and my online review wasn't recorded properly.

All in all, I'm now good to go. New turrets and all the included accessories.

Now to run this thing through its paces.
