Hello gents,
I have a Steiner T6XI 5-30x56 and accidentally over tightened the battery cap. I was able to get it off but had to back it out and apply force to it in reverse against the knob limits.

The knob still operates and changes the illumination, but since I have OCD from the Marines I am now concerned that the knob has too much play or looseness in it and I cannot remember what the knob felt like before when turning it to change the Illumination settings.

If anyone out there has a Steiner T6XI 5-30x56, or other magnification power, would you mind checking how smoothly the illumination knob rotates around. I do not have definitive clicks and the knob rotates quite smoothly. I can feel when the knob engages on the different settings, but I am just not sure if it is supposed to be more firm on the knob when you twist it around.

Maybe I will try and post a video of it if I can figure that out. But it is more a question of if the knob rotates smoothly on everyone's scope as well. On a Meopta I have there are solid clicks almost when changing the illumination, but totally different brand so cannot compare that.

Thanks much appreciated.

Right, but I am trying to avoid that. Mounted it perfectly to the rings and would rather not take off. Also Steiner told me 5 to 6 weeks for them to look at it. Prefer to see if someone has similar knob feeling here before I unmount and send back to them if possible.
