Today my 18yr old step-son went through his firearms qualifying in the Explorer program with the Boone county sheriffs dept. He was the first to go through the Explorer cadet training to qualify expert. He just plays it off that he has never really shot that much. But the truth is I have had him training with a pistol at 100yds on steel for the last year. Seemed to have helped. Last year he completed the cadet training with the highest overall score ever.
