Gunsmithing Stiller Tac 30 action

Re: Stiller Tac 30 action

See http://www.viperactions.com/files/predator_tenon.pdf

Basic answer.?

Yes, its close but remember to take the lug into account.

It does raise the question: why? If you are using a custom action, probably you are losing some of that gain and creating problems for yourself trying to either use a takeoff barrel or not having a smith properly fit your barrel shank.

Will a prefit Remington 700 fit on it? </div></div>

It has threads just like a remington.
Your gunsmith will cut them on the barrel when he does the installation.
Unless you go with a barrel nut system, there are no off-the-shelf pre-fitted 700 barrels as bolt actions are not similar enough for a one-size-fits-all product.

Re: Stiller Tac 30 action

Do yourself a big favor, and like it was already said, send that action to a smith that does this on a very regular basis. You can't just take a pre threaded barrel and screw it on, assuming those are your intentions. You will have a few issues, some of which will be dangerous for you, and those around you. There are plenty of smith here that do just that kind of work. Mark Gordon, William Roscoe, Chad Dixon, Bug holes, Woody, just to name a few. There are many great ones to chose from. Best of luck.
